EASA Christmas Event 2019
On 18th of December 2019 the yearly EASA Christmas event took place in Cologne and our employees came together for a Ice stock sport event.
We met at 7:30 p.m. in from of the outside facility at Arena Weidenpesch which is located in the northern part of Cologne and bridged the waiting time with a traditional Glühwein. Both alleys were reserved for us but unfortunately, on the same day some employees reported sick or had to cancel due to a very busy time at work. The instructor gave a short instruction on how to play ice stock sliding. As no ice skating experience was needed and running on the ice like alleys was also not necessary we could start straight away with the game.
Divided into two teams per alley, each team was trying to get as many points as possible by sliding the ice stock as close as possible to the puck, which was placed in the middle of target area. The team with the most closest stock to the puck gets a point and the team with the most points at the end is the winner. The teams were changed within the 2 hours of playing. In between we went insight to enjoy dinner and some drinks.
All in all, it was a very pleasant evening with a lot of nice people, fun, music, dinner & drinks so all did enjoy the time.
