2nd USA Patent this year awarded to Bishop GmbH on 21. May 2019
Adding to our already large portfolio of Patents, Bishop GmbH was awarded a new Patent for the World’s First Carbon Fibre Bolt (Method and System for producing a threaded Bolt from Carbon Fibre)
The main advantage of this invention, is a means to commercially produce a carbon fibre bolt of any dimensions. Such bolts offer a reduction in weight, a reduction in radar signature (on aircraft), reduction in maintenance, a reduction in fuel tank arcing. The next step will be to produce a rivet version, with the stem breaking off at a pre designed weak point.
Bishop GmbH is already in undisclosed parties concerning the exploitation of this very valuable patent.
