Flight to Schaffen Diest (Belgian) 11-13. August 2017

On 13. August Bishop CEO made his annual aeronautical pilgrimage and flew to Schaffen Diest in Belgian, to particiapte in the 34th Oldtimer Fly/Drive in. The flight took just over 3 hrs, and almost exactly the same for the return leg. The weather was marginal, and this unfortuntely kept the number of participates down. Old friend Allan Sopp (now James) was met after a gap of more than 40 years. The pictures give you a favour of the flight to Diest, and the various aeronautical and automotive attractions.

Peter Bishop was (again), awarded the prize for the “Longest Flight”, for his flight in his 1947 Miles Messenger M.38 Mk IIA. (not too difficult as many Pilots cancelled their flights due to the bad weather conditions)
