Visit to the 33rd Vintage Fly/Drive-in at Schaffen Diest in Belgium 12-14. August 2016

On Friday 12. August 2016, Bishop CEO Peter Bishop took off alone in his 1947 Miles Messenger G-AJOE at approximately 17:17. After the fuel cock fell off in flight, he safely landed at Sunset in Diest at about 21:15 (the flight was prolonged by strong Westerly winds). Special for the weekend was that it was also the 100th Anniversay of Diest airfield.

The airfield today is used for the training of military parachutists, civil general aviation and gliding.
